Po více než třech měsících putovaní projel cestovatel Dan Přibáň a jeho žluté trabanty spolu s mezinárodní česko-polsko-slovenskou posádkou s maličkým polským fiatem a Jawou 250 celou Jižní Ameriku od Guyany, až po nejjižnější místo Ameriky dosažitelné autem - radarovou stanici Moat na konci poslední cesty kontinentu. 16 578 kilometrů tím nejtěžším a nejkrásnějším, co může Jižní Amerika nabídnout.

„Cílem většiny transamerických výprav je město Ushuaia v Patagonii, jenže se dalo jet ještě dál, tak jsme tam vyrazili,“ komentuje to vedoucí výpravy Dan Přibáň. A tak se auta vydala z nejjižnějšího města světa ještě o 150 kilometrů dál. „Trabanti zažili už ledasco. Projeli jsme s nimi Hedvábnou stezku, Afriku od severu k jihu - ale Jižní Amerika byla nejtěžší. Třetinu cesty jsme jeli mimo asfalt, občas po cestách, kam se bojí vjet i s náhonem na všechna kola, a další třetinu ve výškách kolem 4000 metrů nad mořem,“ doplňuje Přibáň.

After more than three months, wandering traveler Dan Přibáň and his yellow Trabants – accompanied by an international Czech-Polish-Slovak crew with a tiny Polish Fiat and JAWA 250 – travelled through South America from Guyana, in the North down to America’s southernmost point accessible by a car – Moat radar station. 16,578 km along the hardest and most beautiful roads that South America has to offer.

“The goal of most Trans-American expeditions is the city of Ushuaia in Patagonia, but we could go further, so we planned to go there” says the expedition leader Dan Přibáň. The team continued from the southernmost city of the world, another 150 kilometres. “The Trabants had been through a lot before. We ran with them the Silk Road, Africa from North to South – but South America was the hardest. A third of the roads were very rough, sometimes on roads where people with 4×4 vehicles were afraid to go, and another third at elevations over 4000 meters above sea level,” adds Přibáň.
